Just got my Solo and been flying for a few days. New to all this drone stuff. Can't seem to figure out how to start and stop recording from the iOS device or the controller. When I hit the red record button on the phone it does nothing. I can start recording on the GoPro before I launch and then hit stop when done but isn't there a way to control the camera in the air. It's probably something very simple thatI'm doing wrong. But I do have my GoPro set up as directed with WiFi off.

Thanks!

Camera control can only be done with the gimbal. The port that is currently used is just for video out.

I'm not sure you have any gopro functionality right now. Hitting the red button on the Solo app records footage to your device camera roll.

The only option right now is hit record on the gopro prior to starting your motors. The good thing about gopro is that it breaks up the video into segments so you don't have to deal with one huge video file.
