controller shut down

have to remove battery from my controller to get it to shut down. is there a fix for this ?

Are you holding the power button down long enough? It takes several seconds to power down. I assume that since you can turn the controller on, that the button works. So you may not be holding it down long enough.

I have to do this when I update the software but not during normal operations.
