Perform compass calibration every month is a good practice?

The only reason i would calibrate often, if i'm flying in a new place a lot.
No need to calibrate if your in same city most of the time.
Why take a chance to mis-calibrate when you don't need to? I only calibrated 3 times in one year, cause of updates..

I usually only recalibrate if I've moved locations a considerable distance as in 20+ miles.
That said, I recently had to work at Mammoth Lakes, Ca. It's around 300+ miles. I forgot to calibrate the compass on the Solo and it flew just fine. I didn't notice any bad behavior. Although, I fly mine most of the time in stabilize mode and not in GPS modes.
