Best tablet for Solo

I was looking at getting the:

Samsung - Galaxy Tab A - 9.7" - 16GB - With Pen - Smoky Titanium
Model: SM-P550NZAAXAR
SKU: 6192105
from BestBuy.

Price point is nice, also has a stylus pen which is a plus.

I was told it does not have embedded GPS, but when going online it says GPS with GLONASS. Has anyone used this tablet with the Solo before, for GPS purposes?

What tablet do you use that also works with GPS without needing Wi-Fi? I don't really care to use my Samsung S5 phone. Any help would be great.

I uses Nexus 7 and 9. Both have GPS, and work well.

I got tired of using my Samsung Note phone and my 10 inch tablet wouldn't fit so I mocked up a quick solution that seems to work. It's pretty top heavy and I wouldn't do cartwheels but holds fairly well. 3/32 inch piano wire in some fuel tubing.

You can't see it in the pic, but it has the same 4 clips as the back of the 3DR clamp and snaps on the controller in two seconds. Will hold any tablet..

that's why it isn't perfect. actually getting the fuel tubing pushed on there took twice as long as bending the wire.
I'm not sure I understand the tablet holder having four clips. Does it connect at the ball joint?
