Android custom rom for best compatibiliy with solo apps

Hello!

I usually root my phones and like to use custom roms, however, with the used Nexus7-2013 that I bought to use with my new solo (both of them not received yet), I was checking xda and the variety of custom roms is good and with diferent versions of android and their sources...

So, I would like to ask if may be some advise about if there is a custom rom specilly recomended for stability and good operation of the solo apps, also if there is any adavantage to use or warning to avoid, a custom rom based on latest android release (Nougat) or any recomendartion for look for roms based on Marsmallow or Lollipop. The Nexus is planned to use only for Solo apps, since I would like to avoid troubles with other apps that are always in use in my phone and I want to minimize the risk of a crash due a freeze caused by another app notification or something related.

Any advice or comment will be gratefull.

I also swear by PureNexus. The project no longer supports the device but who care? It is rock solid.
