3DR Solo with Sony R10C gimbal question

Admittedly I have been far too busy to get back to this lately, though I do still have the repo locally and plan to tinker with it when I have more time.

Anyone have any luck getting this camera & gimbal to work with open solo 4?
I managed to pick up one for free & would love to start doing some surveys with it, but don't want to have to go buy an iPad & sitescan account...

Im doing the Open Solo 4.0 firmware update and my SOLO is showing a Green and Red light in the front and two yellow light on the back.
I tried factory reset but nothing changed, the remote control says that it is paired with the drone, yes the application only sees the remote control, what can I do in this case?

Pulled out the 3dr again in hopes of figuring out the camera. Has a home looked at this Git Repo?

Hello I found this thread while doing some gimbal hacking to get a stock misbehaving gimbal working with OpenSolo. looking into 3dr latest code I can share that as deduced in this thread the code to get the R10C working is on 3DRs github, funny enough latest 2 commits add support for R10C, I would be happy to make R10C work on latest OpenSolo if someone could provide me with a camera.

The camera is controlled trough MAVlink, check:

I have that gimbal, but with a QX1 camera, not R10C. It is the same camera but with different options for remote operation.
Is there a way to change the firmware of QX1?

I couldn't tell, I guess they are close enough to be mounted on the drone and it would be possible to trigger the camera but I'm not certain about the differences in firmware, and if any of them allows video preview through imx6

Hi Alromh87, I'd be happy to work with you on this if you're interested, I have a SiteScan solo (the gimbal I've flashed it to Ardupilot) with an R10C, last time I tried it I had gimbal control but no camera control and I got nowhere trying to find info on the PTP messaging for controlling the R10C. I'm not in a position to post it to Mexico but if you want to collaborate let me know. I'm pretty competent with code/hardware but I'm not a C developer so if you're good on that side definitely would be useful to have your insights. I also have a QX1 but it's using a madhacker trigger, should still be feasible to test cross compatibility for the serial but I'd be surprised if they are given the cameras have different firmware.
