If your trying to use a long range radio its been discussed ad nauseum...Search is your friend

The 3dr solo has a ppm input you can add many compatible receivers ... but you will lose smart shot functionality, "Its the whole purpose of the 3dr solo". It's really in a class all by itself... its one of a kind imho....
