3DR Solo, my first GPS drone, and I love it!

Hello all,

I am new to drones. I bought myself a Syma X8W for Christmas a few months ago. I added attitude hold to it, mounted my GoPro hero 3 to it, and did a lot of practice flying, including taking videos with the GoPro.

It didn't take long to figure out that I need something better, something with GPS, telemetry, and gimbal.

I did a lot of research, not finding a lot of options for my very tight budget.
That's how I found out about the 3DR Solo. I read up all I could find about the Solo, and decided that's the drone I want!

I purchased a refurbished unit from Best Buy, the gimbal from Newegg market place, and an extra battery from Amazon.
The drone arrived, and I played around with it for a day. I really loved it, but one of the motors had signs of early failure, so I brought it back to BB, and ordered another refurbished one.

So now I am waiting for the drone, gimbal and extra battery. They should all arrive by the coming weekend.

Meanwhile I just keep reading up on Solo forums and watching Solo videos on YouTube .
