Never actually measured. Never thought of measuring so that said I subconsciously must have never perceived there was any kind of clearance issue. As mentioned I have flown in moderate wind with the prop guards on with no issue. If the props were to come in contact with the guards I'm sure...

I looked at this backpack as well but was able to find a new 3DR backpack for $125 shipped so went with the 3DR. I was getting mixed reviews regarding the Lowepro.

I have had them for 4+ months. Great fitment. I have flew in moderate winds with only a slight change in flight characteristics. On a calm day you wouldn't even know they were on other than the obvious overall appearance of the Solo.

Are these plates still beneficial or has 3DR addressed the issue through recent firmware updates?

2500' in my surrounding neighborhood. Tons of wifi congestion. I am using a boosted DBS setup. Curious to see what it could do in the great wide open.

ALFA antenna are ok. You will get marginal gains depending on where you fly. I recommend going with the DBS setup for $80. I have both and the DBS is far superior to the ALFA setup. Compatible to FPVLR from what I have read.
