Haha, yeah haven't taken it for a swim again yet. Been a few months now and I haven't noticed any big issues (well I guess there's one, the gimbal gets flaky randomly.... but not sure if thats normal....). Yeah, I think the battery was glued. Kinda hard to tell though, did most of the dremeling...

I might be interested in the burnt up motor pod if the motor is good and the pcb is in good shape.

I've posted this before but... GM Multi - Solo Charger I think its a better option than a car12v->inverter->solo charger. One of those modules are like $15 plus some wire and a little DIY. Its a more efficient solution. Plus you could charge a little faster. Looks like a pretty easy build...

Was the controller on? WiFi AP is on the controller, so the Solo connects to the controller and so does the phone.

I think the setup i would prefer is a OTG USB to an old cell phone with USB in hotspot mode (or a cellular usb module). Keep the wifi for primary controller link. Cellular is backup on say a laptop running mission planner. Would be a neat way to recover a fly away...

Sure. I'll try to remember tonight when I get home. It's not pretty though since it was dremeled to take it apart. Haven't quite figured out how to glue it back together if/when I get it working 100% again.

No, voltage reported in app was over 16 while alarming. Not a low voltage problem. And none of the cells were ever actually over discharged. When originally removing the PCB from the "dead" battery all cells were about 3.8 which is totally fine. Its not a voltage error, its something else. Off...
