I have an old Mac that I use for editing video, it's a 2009 Mac Pro Tower. Is there a way I can download the log files to this computer for analyzing?
I downloaded Misson Planner on my wife's PC and was able to retrieve the log and view it, but when I tried to open it up on APM Planner 2.0...
Just wanted to follow up on this thread.
Heard from 3DR today - they confirmed there was a mechanical failure and said they would be in touch in a day or two with replacement info.
I had what I presume is a failed motor on Saturday and I have far less than 150 hour flight time on the drone. I submitted a ticket to 3dr but haven't heard back yet.
If you haven't already - get some liability coverage too. I've used Verifly a couple times and I'm happy with it so far. $10 for $1,000,000 in coverage for a 1/2 hour flight time.
Found this log while diagnosing a possible motor failure. Any new info on this? Last post is almost a year old. Are folks replacing motors on a timed basis hoping to replace them before they fail, or is there a better way?
I get this message when trying to open the bin file in APM Planner 2 on my mac:
"Error preparing insertquery: R10C table R10C has no column named pitch_pwm Unable to execute statement"
I appreciate any info you might be able to gleam from it. I was able to open the Bin file on my wife's PC laptop with a small screen, but NOT using Mission Planner (or AP2?) on my Mac - something about a bad column. I got frustrated looking at the graphs on that small screen and haven't dug...
Great idea. I actually bought a whole new drone when they went on sale and I have that waiting in a closet. I'll look into the parachute option - hadn't considered that before. Thanks!
Thanks Frank. I've never actually "flown" with Mission Planner, just the solo app. I only started dabbling in Mission Planner after the accident to try and figure out what went wrong. I've been flying this solo since December with no issues, that particular day I was flying for about 5...
As you can see in the video, the drone hit a cedar tree which really helped slow the fall and it hit the ground rather soft. The gimbal shows a solid green light, indicating it's fine - and not a single prop was broken. I tested the drone with the props off in the yard and everything appears...
Was able to download the logs but when I try to open them in APM Planner 2, I get this error code:
Error preparing insertquery: R10C table R10C has no column named pitch_pwm Unable to execute statement
Google search and Search on this site only brings up 1 instance of this happening, but there...
Thanks. I downloaded Mission Planner and was able to view the logs. I see multiple errors but they don't really mean much to me. Hoping a tech from 3DR will diagnose the issue.
Yeah, had that happened just a couple minutes sooner, it would have landed in the water. Solo powers up and looks fine - even the gimbal is showing a green light and works, but I won't feel comfortable flying it again until I figure out what caused the crash.
