linear mode doesn't look like a non-fisheye lens though, it looks better than normal... but still just a bit weird. I tried linear mode, but switched to a 3.97 and did the profile removal MUCH nicer.
props off and make/find a box to fit around the gimbal. A cardboard box could be made to fit it pretty exactly then doped with resin to make it harder - Velcro strap around Solo body and it'd hold on as a hard protective cover.
I use a little zipper bag that is the right size to fit behind the...
I printed my own foldable feet, they're based on the foldable feet on thingiverse - but angled out at the tips because I found those a little unstable and prone to folding without a clip. I think the Relish3D has a clip/bump to hold them open.
mine has always seemed intermittent, it is there for most flights, but every so often it isn't - even though the home point and RTH work fine when it isn't shown.
I'm interested too, the podcast is a bit DJI centric, and I feel like it's 20 minutes of talking crap just to get to a 5 second answer. The ads for the jerky last longer than the actual guts of most answers
well well, nice work! is that a clever repackaging of a 360 gimbal or removal of physical stops and some Ardupilot settings?
(What are the cable and side bulges?)
re boat mode - just hold it and wiggle it around while you arm it? (easier and quicker to simulate rough seas than going offshore and realising a param wasn't set properly)
what functionality is missing/available currently?
I'd like a forum, I'd like to follow the effort but I mustn't kow the right place to look because I just see bits and pieces here and on the facebook group
I'd open that casing up and either dry it out throughly, or salvage the electronics and replace the lipo packs.
I'd be rinsing it out well, and probably using a good force of water to rinse out the motors, I think a rinse with alcohol helps remove the final traces of water before other drying...
take it as carry on. I've transported one inside a hardcase suitcase, but it was a backup unit and the case was also well packed out with clothes and padding
I doubt it - most goggle flying would be mini quads, and most meets I imagine there's always one guy replacing his batteries/props or something who could technically act as spotter. It seems like a more social thing than flying the cameras around.
When it comes to the aerial cameras, the more...
IIRC the FPV goggle flight is made legal by the use of a spotter, counted as EVLOS operation. (That is my understanding of the rules under CASA or FAA)
