I use the Du-Bro balancer with a threaded adapter for 3DR props. Most of my 3DR props were pretty good, though I've actually had a few with surprisingly bad hub balance. Compared to some other brands of props, the 3DR have been relatively close to balanced.

The chances are very high that the answer is 'yes.' Both with the factory 3DR props and the APC props I fly on my other quad, I've never seen a perfectly-balanced prop. Close, but there's always something a little 'off' that can lead to increased vibration.

I've actually sent this question to the FAA, but I'm wondering if any of you have already asked and had this answered: I understand that I'm obliged to inform the airport operator and the tower of a model aircraft operation if I'm going to be operating within five miles of a towered airport...

I'm an amateur photographer and filmmaker, and relatively new to the multi rotor hobby. Solo is my second multi rotor, the first being a Tarot 650 I built from parts using Pixhawk.
