That still maybe a long time. I believe if no manufacture picks it up from 3DR it will fall in the DIY and MOD class. There are many ingenuous people out there that can take bailing wire, and super glue and come up with some amazing products.

Well we have still a good bird and a one year warranty. With other manufactures, and forums/mod clubs more capabilities. I already updated the GPS and the shield. A GPS lock ready to fly in a few seconds with 7-9 SATS and that was inside in my office. Imagine outside.

Well 3DR might be trying to go back to their roots DIY on top of their software Site Scan. They just put out their Pixhawk Mini and accessories. Looks similar to the HobbyKing "PixFalcon" but more expensive. Really didn't have much details on it. Not sure what the differences are if any.

That is a thought. One thought is third party batteries if need be. But we are not there yet. There are a large group mind in 3DR Mod group bound to be some excellent ideas.

I feel the same I like the bird happy how it handles and the capabilities. But not happy with company. I too DIY and been building my own quads for awhile. As long as there are forums/clubs, and manufactures that supplies accessories I am happy. Tower app just put out an update. Solo Lives...

I am happy with my Solo and Agee with pyrate. I have been using pixhawk for my DIY for years. So all the the capabilities of the Solo and the price cannot be beat. sorry didn't realize I was being uncivil and will stay on topic.

pyrate I just bought one for a spare. With tax, and BB coupon I spent $84. I do like the Solo and there is still many options for it. Maybe with luck another manufacture will pick it up.

I too went to 3DR webinar, I posted a question of course they didn't answer. It was "If 3DR is pushing Site Scan and it was built and sold with Solo, and 3DR is not going to manufacture anymore Solo's well what platforms will it work on now?
