As a long haul airline pilot and a drone flyer I also have a foot in both camps Dan. We had an 8 prop drone (DSLR carrying size) drift through one of the Heathrow holds at 10,000ft! It obviously came close enough for someone to see it but not with enough time to avoid (<5 sec) so it was lucky...
