Nice! Good to hear. Autopano should have a way to flip the image so the sky is in the middle and you can use photoshop to paint the sky hole. Then flip it back for a full 360x180 coverage.

Oops, sorry Dave @carpy ! I just checked it out and it looks like you are missing coverage both below and above. The horizon will be curved if there are missing layers. You may need to take shots at an angle below 30 degrees as this shows that 30 is not enough to cover below. As for the top...

Hi Rob and Rolo. I take about 10 shots per row for a total of about 30 shots. It is probably overkill but i want to make sure I have ample overlap. I am not sure what you mean by "curved hemisphere" but if you mean the distortion of the wide angle lens on the Gopro, the PTGui software should...

Thanks @BigTulsa I have. I was hoping for tips on flying outside the NDZ and apart from the conditions on the site, what other towers need to be contacted around small airports and heliports.

Yes @Lon Denard that was shot with a GPH4Black. I am eagerly awaiting the Karma and Hero 5 for its HDR and RAW capability. I feel handicapped working only with JPGs.

Thanks @chowdan I have been living in Fiji for the last 4 years and have visited on several occasions. My first trip was to Lalati, actually. It is a great island with lots of nice diving in the area. My album from Lalati here.

I have done both. Photos with my daughter's GPH3+Black then using video stills with my GPH3+Silver because the photo option was not supported by Solo. The quality was really bad with video stills so I upgraded to GPH4Black and do photos again. The quality is much better.

Thanks @Spectre95 . I use PTGui panoramic software. There is a good free stitching software called HUGIN. It is powerful but the user interface a bit less intuitive. Once stitched, I use Photoshop to fill in the hole in the sky where the gimbal does not cover.

Had an awesome sunset last weekend. The Gopro did not catch the richness of the colors. I was using a polarizing filter but think I should have used a ND4 filter for the color. Any tips for improving sunset imagery ? Click here or the image for the interactive virtual reality panorama here...
