As far as I know lipo batteries can only be carried in carry on bags. Plan for extra time in the security checkpoint, they might swab your drone and hands etc.

LED Systems - Flytron I've used their stuff and I've been very pleased. Has the realistic quick blink like full scale aircraft, and it's super bright. Plugs into a normal rx servo port as well.

I agree, just because it's not a no fly zone, doesn't mean it's ok to fly over people, near structures, etc. I read the Komo news article, and someone said they thought it was a no fly zone, I just wish the journalist would have done more work to provide a more complete story.

Weird... I've lost gps and my gopro recordings have been flawless. Neither of those should impact recording though... Really weirdweird.

Don't expect the solo to fly faster than 35mph while in any mode but manual. Besides that it should be great

Ha need more options! - I really like my solo but I'm still miffed 3dr treated us like beta testers, especially with late gimbal, no gopro control, no flight Sim, extremely buggy follow me (to be fixed in November) less than stellar flight time, etc. Your second option almost covers it but 3dr...
