Using BMSOne battery mod actually is the only easiest way if you want using batteries larger than 5200mAh

you can read through this thread, there was plenty of information - 3DR Solo with LiIon 9000mAh battery | up to 30min flight time from the thread: "So for 10% more weight the Solo consumes 16% more energy"

adding 4 more cells, will add extra weight and result not in so much time increase
