Franknitty, I did a little research and you are right, it refers to a hatch or hatching, and I guess you can consider the parallel flight lines as a hatch, thanks for your input.

Thank you Lawrence, I would never have associated hatch angle for direction of flight lines. Curious; why do they call it hatch angle, as a surveyor I have never came upon that term.

A tower question: My flight lines in tower are always oriented N/S, is there a way to select a different orientation?

Ed, I fly all my Tower missions with the parameters set to continue the mission if wifi is lost, I also use the auto take off and landing option. The parameters are FS_GCS_ ENABLE =2, FS_THR_ENABLE = 2. Thus loss of wifi connection is not a problem .
