The stock GPS is not good - it's trash. If you do a little research on line you can find an upgrade and it's really simple to do. Once I made the updrage I never lost GPS.

This happened to me after a hard landing. The hdmi connection pulled off from its soilder & that was enough to do it. Had to buy another gimbal.

Did you ever get this operational? If so would you mind providing a little info on the specifics - like the MP parameters and the actual controller inputs to operate the gimbal and trigger the shutter. Thank You.
