If everyone thought like you (or didn't as the case may be) drones would be outlawed tomorrow. Have some common sense man! I keep seeing stories of drones being hella higher than they should, and near misses. This is like a drunk driver trying to justify their reason for driving. There's no excuse.

Unfortunately I was on my last battery and right when I found the fire I lost signal and RTH kicked in... : ( I didn't take control back (besides gimbal) because I only had about 20% left, and that goes pretty quick. The shot at the end of course is reversed, but if you saw it the other way...

I was flying in a quiet city park yesterday when I heard sirens on the surrounding road. The fire was right there. Did a little editing last night and it turned into a music video of sorts. The kind of action we dream of getting when the quad's already in the air, right?

I'm using a GP4 Silver. I noticed a big difference in flight time with the gimbal vs. without. I was getting around 18 minutes (based on the length of continuous video) and am now only getting 10-12 (depending on wind, etc.)

After taking my solo apart again to troubleshoot the wifi cards (swapped R11E's to stock, then back) I noticed this ribbon cable had come off. Does anyone know what it's for? I suspect it's used for programming because it leads to the port under the solo, in which case maybe I can get by...

Just my theory, but I think to get 4K the whole sensor must be used. I don't think the lens actually zooms for smaller FOV's, (would require moving parts, a deeper body, more lenses etc.) so software is probably using just part of the sensor to achieve that effect (cropping), therefore less...
