No. That would have been the first thing I would have tried. The connectors are very small, the wires are not much bigger than threads. There is no way that I can solder or crimp these wires on the tiny (not much bigger than 1/4 inch) connectors.

Marco Polo needs no electrical connection to Solo so there is no reduction in flight time. Marco Polo has its own built in rechargeable battery supply. You can velcro it on a leg or wherever you find a place to be convenient for you. It is very light weight and will no cause any balance problems.
