You have the option of changing from 2.4Ghz to 5.8Ghz, that's the beauty with the Solo, it's all based on the kind of wifi cards The new update seems to be more stable, US country code. Since my recent update I have only tested it on the modded cards.

That's the reason I used the term CENCORED and UNCENSORED, the new chipset has a FCC ID that means it's regulated for this region, so I'm assuming if there is no no FCC ID for the AR9580 that explains a lot. A couple of people on the Facebook forum were complaining of not see much difference...

Tim...That was based on my research, comparison from various websites, user reports and the info I got from Mikrotik tech support I realized the AR9582-AR1A have a FCC ID while the AR9580 did not have one or I couldn't find one for it, thats the reason I say the AR9580 is UNCENSORED and AR9582...

When buying those cards remember you got two series that will work in Solo without any modding, they both support ath9k driver; 1. R11e-2HnD 800mw(AR9580 chipset) this is the card you want to use, it runs 3x3:3 MIMO theoretical speed 450Mbps real speed 360Mbps....from my research on the forums...
