Thanks for the advice and the video. Took the Solo out this morning, clear sunny skies, worked perfectly. Connected faster than ever to 10+ satellites, landed within 3' of the takeoff point. I think all is well. I give the mod a thumbs up!

So that's the thing. Yes, there was a noticeable increase in the number of satellites and speed of lock, which is a vast improvement. I was waiting 10 minutes before. However the first flight with the mod went badly. It took off and strayed almost immediately. I hit 'HOME' and it tried to land...

Can someone confirm, after putting the mod & foil, do I put the original foil back in, or discard?

Took it to a guy locally who does such things, was happy to make the repair and talk drones for an hour after they closed. Hopefully it's fixed!

Hi - I was disassembling my Solo to do the GPS reception mod from IMP and the plastic mounting clip popped off the GPS PCB. Any suggestions on the best way to reattach? Should I send to 3DR or can I solder it back on myself?
