Any of you guys know how to take a dd image of the SD card in the solo? If so, I would greatly appreciate it. My SD card is corrupted, and I'd really like to fix it myself rather than wait for an RMA. Thanks!

Hey @rrmccabe, any chance you still have the image file? I made a dd image of mine way back when, but can't find it now, and my solo appears bricked. Pretty sure it's the file system on the SD card (appears corrupted), would like to reflash. Thanks!

According to the pamphlet included with the gimbal, it doesn't need to be balanced with the Hero4 Black. It does sit (and stay) level while on the ground. In the the air the gimbal clearly shuts off for a second, falling over due to the pitch/roll of the solo, then comes back on and levels off...

Would love to hear your thoughts. I got mine on yesterday and had just enough sunlight for a test flight. Really disappointed with it, seems really underpowered and had some jello in my video, not to mention it "fell over" twice while in the air. Hopefully can be fixed with software.

Ordered from 3DR. I just got mine today. Guess what? It's the one I ordered on Aug 13th direct from 3DR. The one I ordered on April 20th from B&H is still nowhere to be found. I'm happy to have the gimbal, but I think it's a bit unfair that those who ordered first are still waiting while recent...

I think they'll just bill you once. I saw a copy of the email elsewhere, and the original charge was only a pre-auth, which has expired. This is the actual auth. I do hope you get it... When did you order?

Is it a Hero3+ Black? I can't get mine to work anymore and there have been other reports of the same. My Hero4 works perfectly.

IMO, it's just lame that they've gone radio silence after blowing through their ship date. I want them to get it right as much as the next guy, but I don't really see why this is taking so long. They have a lot of weight behind them, and the idea of a 3-axis gimbal isn't exactly new. They're...
