    Solo Volume vs. Mavic

so many YouTube videos that you have available to watch and listen to. All drones are loud in my opinion. And most people's "problem" with drone noise is more due to the fact that they know it's a drone and don't want to be anywhere near a drone rather than the actual noise. If you do a lot...

    My FPVLR antenna arrived!

the Wifi upgrade will get you 2-3X the range with the STOCK antennas. that's right. with no changes to the antennas, you'll get 2-3X the range. BUT it's the hardest upgrade to do as you have to disassemble the drone. If I had to do it all over again, I would skip the FPVLR antennas and...

    My FPVLR antenna arrived!

One more thing I'd like to add. Upgrading the antennas is extremely easy. Getting amplifiers and battery is extremely easy. Upgrading the GPS is fairly easy. Upgrading the Wifi is extremely difficult. You are completely disassembling the drone and it's not for the faint of heart. If you...

    My FPVLR antenna arrived!

well, I've enjoyed my experience so far. Just want to improve it as much as possible. For new people, I would suggest you try out your drone as-is, see how it works for you. And if you enjoy the Solo as much as I do, then start to upgrade it if you just want that little bit more.

    My FPVLR antenna arrived!

that's some good advice... as for me, living in a dense urban jungle, it's not exactly practical to drive far to go to wide open spaces. So I'm compensating through technology to work with the environment I live in. And while flat farmland may be interesting to many, I'd rather travel to more...

    My FPVLR antenna arrived!

you'll get a good experience even if you just upgrade the FPVLR antennas. all the other upgrades will enhance your experience but aren't necessary. But the more you fly and the more you try to do different things, the more you'll experience problems. but play around before you upgrade all the...

    My FPVLR antenna arrived!

I'm fully maxing out my Solo. I actually have a pair of Solo drones as well as multiple spare parts (a third gimbal, multiple batteries, etc.). I have the FPVLR antennas. I upgraded the GPS. I'm upgrading the Wifi. I'm getting the amplifiers with battery. It's not that I plan on going to...

    My FPVLR antenna arrived!

yeah, I think it's because you live in a rural flatland area with a lot of open space. Trying living in the Southern California area with rolling hills, tall buildings and skyscrapers, 10 million people with a zillion wifi connections, tall vegetation, etc.

    My FPVLR antenna arrived!

I feel the GPS upgrade is a must because of how long the Solo can take to lock on to the satellites with the standard GPS, especially if you're taking your drone to so many different locations. The FPVLR antennas are terrific but very line-of-sight. So if you live in a place with a lot of...

moving lines in the video. is this interference?

thanks for the info. I'm just used to doing everything in manual mode, for both pictures and video. A decent amount of preplanning for light conditions and camera orientation. I'd rather do good preplanning then depend on post processing to compensate for bad technique.

moving lines in the video. is this interference?

I know I'll find out when I try all this out over the weekend. I'm just excited to know early. So to summarize, I don't make any changes to the GoPro and all work to the image is done in post-production?

    Fpv??

Okay, so I read in another thread that the Fat Shark Dominator V3 works with the Solo drone... and then I came across the Flysight 40CH FPV Goggles With HDMI In and PIP Function (SPX02 RPSMA ANT) Amazon.com: Flysight 40CH FPV Goggles With HDMI In and PIP Function (SPX02 RPSMA ANT): Home Audio &...
