Does anyone know if I can tap into the 5v gimbal power to run led lights rather than installing a bec? I was guessing it's the same 5.7w output. Not running a gimbal.

Bad battery would be my initial thought. Hover test it and compare times to other batteries. I had one fade out like that last week about 8 minutes into a mission and had to let it land in failsafe. I tested it hovering in 25 mph winds that evening and it went down in about 90 seconds.

Flying in 25kt gusts. Solo getting a lot of turbulence. Also it would depend on you speed. If it is trying to fly at 30 mph and also maintain altitude to a waypoint it could exceed the max tilt angle which will make it buck as it continues on its way. Landing above 25 mph gets a bit tricky some...

In Auto mission you can fly as far as you want as long as you have battery and the GPS is locked. In other modes you will need to return as soon as the radio communication fails. You don't need radio communications or a controller in auto mission if you configure it to keep going. Program it...

Mission planner is the best for tracking and creating missions on a PC. There is no need to change parameters unless you know what you want and how to do it.

I have the laptop audio connected to the vehicle so I can hear it outside. I stand outside pointing the controller in the direction of the Solo and keep an eye on the Solo, watch for planes, etc.

How much separation do you have? I have flown 1 mile away with laptop in truck and controller outside. I also use continue mission on lost signal.

The radio from one may be interfering with the other. It's usually a bad idea to have them that close together. The controllers could also be a problem. The original may indeed be better for your test conditions. It does not seem to be better when in normal use.

The solo batteries are working pretty good. Are you adding more weight?

The throttle is spring loaded and therefore at 50%. You can't start in stabilize mode at 50%, you just need to hold down on the throttle while arming it.

I installed the MRo but I also have the shielding from 3DR. I did not have a problem with the original setup other than taking a while to get lock.
