Yeah that's not going to work.

Does anyone know if you can record externally through the controller's HDMI output to something like an Atomos Ninja/Shogun? I'd like to try and grab some lossless video quality.

"Toilet Bowling" as you described it is exactly what it was doing. Kept getting slightly worse and worse. So glad I got it to true manual flight in time. I can see how so many new pilots crash. One little odd action like that even cause me to freeze up a bit and almost panic.

But it says do not calibrate unless instructed to do so..... Should I wait and see if it asks me to?

So my third day of flying and decided to try follow me. I tried it and the Solo stayed completely still, just hovering, but the gimbal kept me in the center of the frame. I also tried switching over to "look at me" and it did the same thing. What's up with that? Anyone else have that happen?

One last thing, that I "just" got.... Slightly off topic, but related. I just talked to a friend that gave me a good tip. He has his wife fly the craft up high somewhere away from everything while he looks away, then turn it some random direction, put it in manual, and hand him the controls...

I placed mine right in the snow. It's light enough to sit on top of the snow in most cases. Just land softly. Preferably manually.

Man, looks like they need to create an add on. Like the Lily Drone's wrist mounted GPS device. Allow the solo to switch to following that and then switch back to the phone/controller combo when the shot is done.
