There is virtually no warning when RTH kicks in. You will see the video scramble and at the same time, the RTH appears on your phone/tablet. Thankfully it works.. LOL
There is a thread in the forum that will show you how to change the RTH height. I would recommend change the height to 200' which would most like clear the trees and arrive home safely.
I am happy to say also that I have experienced no problems at all with the Solo.
The only complaint I would have would be range, but just starting to get comfortable flying over 1600'. Think my longets journey has been about 1900', but usually start having signal issues around 1600', but...
So far my longest journey has been @ an altitude of 400' and 1900' away. Has taken me some time to work to that distance, but no problems so far. Everything is stock currently.
Well, I have broken my record with the stock antenna. I hit 1500' finally, but dont think I can get much more than that since it decided to return home.
How does it load the maps?
Reason I am asking.. Currently I am using the Note4 phone which obviously has WiFi and the cell connection. I assumed that maps are loaded through the data connection since WiFi is dedicated to the Solo?
Followed your video to change the RTH altitude and was really easy. Thanks again.
@rrmccabe - How do you like the Samsung 8.4 Tab S? I am using the Note 4, but would like to get get a bigger screen.
I have found that the Solo pretty much needs line of site to the controller. Since I have been flying at an altitude of 350', and staying in the line of site, I have been able to get to 900' away. Ill keep pushing it as I get more comfortable.
