I have the same issue on both my Solo, one Open Solo and one Arducopter 3.5.4 on Cube 2.0 I'm thinking it is about controller battery but not sure. Two different controllers. One have stock battery, one extended capacity, 3DR. For both I'm using Nexus 2013 with Solex app.

Maybe looks to easy but to install Arducopter 3.5.4 in my Cube 2.0 5V after installed Open Solo, I just extracted px4 file from Arducopter 3.5.4.zip for GC and installed it using Mission Planner custom firmware update (usb from PC to Cube usb port). So far looks good.

Start from scratch, I would install first open solo. This is requirement before you install Arducopter 3.5.4 in GC. OpenSolo/documentation

Ok, this is what I did. After 5V mode in my Cube 2.0 (you can see video in other thread) installed clean Open Solo (wiped old firmware first with Ardupilot fw). Then extracted ArduCopter-v3_3.5.4_Solo.px4 from downloaded to my tablet ArduCopter 3.5.4 Firmware.zip for Green Cube. Installed px4...
