Is 3d robotics still going to make software updates for the solo 3d. I was wondering about geofencing for androids.

Nope. They're done. I suggest you purchase the Solex app for Android. The guy who makes that application is pushing out new features and updates all the time. One of them being geofences. And the geofencing on his application is way better than 3DR's iOS app.

I just got the solo3d for christmas and first drone. This is a great drone. Do you think I should start looking and buying parts for this drone before they are all gone. Like batteries and props.

Most here buy complete additional Solo kits for a spare parts drone. Much cheaper in the long run. You'll have additional bats, props, and a spare gimbal - perhaps the first thing to go in a crash
