Toddler loses eyeball after errant drone slices it in half

I can't tell you how much this makes me feel sick.

I generally don't fly near people, and if I fly from home I make sure no one is going past my driveway for takeoffs and landings, I'm literally up and out over parkland/lake within 1 minute.

Tell you what though, someone comes past my driveway whilst landing in auto and there is a gps glitch, will I be able to hit manual fast enough?

Have ordered some prop guards this morning. No guarantee, but every bit for safety helps.

A sad reminder for us all...

I would highly recommend a full control landing or take-off for this very reason. Children are fast and curious, they are not aware of such dangers.

There's a field behind my house. I was flying my f550 back there. I didn't realize a few houses down was having a birthday party with fifteen 10 year olds. All of a sudden they ascend into my field. Every time I came near trying to land they flocked over to that area. I took it up and away and finally a parent came over and I asked them to tell the children to keep away as the Copter is very dangerous and can hurt them.
