Is there any way to tighten the side to side motion of the control sticks so that it takes more force to move them left & right? I haven't taken my controller apart yet, but I assume that there are springs on each axis of the sticks that return it to center. When I push either stick forward I have a natural tendency to push them slighty towards the center instead of straight up, which causes undesired consequences. Anyone else have this problem?

You're correct, the tension can be adjusted with the internal tension screws. I have the same tendency, but my lack of flying time is the main reason. But sure adding more resistance to the yaw and roll stick movement would be helpful. Personal preferences.

I increased the tension on all axis on mine, no ill effects. The tension for the horizontal and vertical motions are controlled independently for each stick.
I have also been considering adding some sugru or similar rubber product to increase the surface area and friction for the thumbs....
