I tried searching for " How to remove ribbon cable from motor pods? " and came up empty. Is there some trick to removing the ribbon cable from the motor pods? Mine doesn't seem to want to come apart and I'm afraid of breaking something.

I use a thin flat blade, knife or paint scraper pushed into the grove between the male and female. Once in I gently rock it until the gap opens enough to get a finger nail in to finish the separation.

There are no clips or anything locking them together? There a couple of pin looking things sticking out of each side of the board connection and I was thinking maybe they had something to do with holding them together. Would your technique then be the same for ALL of those type connectors?

OK, an update. I got them all apart. Man, they were tight !!!
