Recording video

I am a new droner flyer and love the Solo. The only issue I have encountered is when trying to record video of my flight on my iPhone. I have a GoPro Hero 4 without a SD card. During flight when I click on the record button it will only save a second long video. I was wondering do I need a SD card in the GoPro if I am supposed to be recording to my camera roll on my iPhone? If not what settings do I need to change so I can record longer videos?

I believe an SD card is required. The record button in the app is to start/stop recording on the GoPro. Saving to your camera roll happens while the GoPro is recording.

Video to your device is garbage and limited in resolution and frame rate. You need an SD card to record to for any remotely-serious video. They are very cheap now, but buy one of sufficient 'speed".
