No Video on Phone with Solo App or with Solex

Not undersanding how it would be the gimble if the gimble works properly on one drone and not the other. If its working on one, wouldn't that mean that something else was wrong with the drone it's not working on (bad cable or board)? Guess I'm not following your reasoning.

I thought you switch the gimbal and the swap worked.

Anyway, now you have two set of everything, start with a set that works; just keep switching parts until you find which part is not working. Return or replacing the faulty part.
 
Any help on mine? I have a Hero 3 Black and am getting spotty video feed. Sometimes it just won't come on, I get a black screen. HDMI is good on the GP, like I said sometimes it works. I disassembled and checked HDMI connection on the board and it's perfectly snug so I don't know where to look next.
 
I didn't read to the start of this post so forgive me if I'm repeating something already mentioned.
I find it helpful if you turn on the GoPro before powering on the Solo. Even then, sometimes I need to reset the GoPro by pulling its battery.
My startup sequence:
GoPro
Solo
Controller
App
Laptop (if using Mission Planner)
Works great for me.
 
I had an issue with a generic camera. Fixed by reducing the output FPS to 30.
