Mapping Software

I am new to this forum, but seems like a lot of knowledgeable folks hang around here. I have recently purchased the X8+ and want to get into mapping. Just wanted to know what was the best mapping software to use. Does anyone have a preference and why. Thanks in advance for your valuable input.

The main commercial products are, Pix4d where the mapper version is free where you can make a fly by video, Photoscan is good, you can get a demo on there site. Agisoft PhotoScan

Both are expensive for the full products.
