Hi everyone.

I'm from Ireland and have just purchased an iris+, I should point out that I have never owned or flown a drone before. I want to use it for hoby photography and video.

Am I right in saying I can get away with flying this drone without ever having to use the controller?

Any tips or advice on how to learn would be greatly appreciated.

Go to an open space. If you try to flight where is structures or trees you may hit them. To start learning how to fly use the Loiter Mode due to the Loiter Mode utilized the GPS to control your position then you just worry about altitude. Once you dominate the aircraft movements you can fly manually with no problems. The Iris Plus is very stable I have my for more than 6 month and I have a great time recording with a GoPro Hero 4. The more satellites the aircraft can see the better GPS Location you will have. For autonomous missions make sure you practice those first in an open area with no trees or buildings. I make a check list to make sure I don't forget a step in order to have a safer flight.
