High k index

the k index is quite high today and tomorrow! LOTs of yellow! Lost gps momentarily a few times.
Forgot to check it before I went out. Need to start remembering to check it!

Yup, planet "X" is getting closer...

Not to minimize the effects of the planetary K index, but the highest I've seen today is 4. While that's considered 'yellow' and be cautious flying, I've seen 8 and 9 before which brings northern lights down into the lower 48. And obviously don't fly with 8 or 9 if you need GPS.
