GoPro Hero 3+ sliver

When I power on the Solo the Hero powers up as well but won't let me start recording with the app, any ideas on settings?

The app won't control a Hero 3+ Silver like it will the Hero 4 black and silver.

That's what I though, at least it turns it off.

How did you do it? Do you Jace a link or something you could share I'm sure it would help a lot of others in the forum.

Yeah it doesn't make much sense showing us without explaining how it's done. Hopefully the OP will respond telling us what he did.

I'm seeing there is an extra cable going to the gopro right above the hdmi plug. I'm assuming this plugs into the expansion port on the solo and to the micro usb on the gopro and the op is using solex to use the pause button to start/stop the camera shutter. Maybe he'll shed some light on this?
