GIT2P without gimbal?

I have searched... I see it works with the gimbal. That means it works without a gimbal, for FPV and onboard recorded video, just connected to the HDMI cable and glued to the Solo, right?

Also... The camera must allow connection to an external transmitter. So I am not sure the GIT2P will work for me anyway.

I'm a little confused. If the GIT2P has an HDMI connection then it doesn't need any other transmitters, it will just use the SoloLink one.
