Bus ribbon to Accessory Bay

OK, is with bus necessary if you are not running any accessories.
The reason I ask is because it keeps coming apart when I disassemble the mother board from the body. Specifically, does it have anything to do with the gimble? If not, do I still have to have it attached or can I simply eliminate it?

Yep mine broke at the board and everything words fine.
