Picked up the solo bundle with an extra battery, propellers, and gimbal for $300 as an early birthday gift. Basically this forum convinced me to pull the trigger on the solo over the DJI or Autel offerings as I already have a hero 3 black (I hope it works as well as the 4) and except for a few minor issues, all seemed well with this unit. I look forward to picking lots of brains for mods and general tech about this little machine!

it will not work as well as the 4
you can basically use it, and you will get live feed but you will not have camera control at all
You will need to turn it on and press record and fly it that way
But I have indeed flown my 3 on solo.

I have the app that controls the 3 from my phone i won't be able to control the camera from the app while connected to the drone? Thanks!

DO NOT turn on the "wireless" function of your GoPro, it will interfere with the Solo.
