Andrew, thanks for the help. Yes I got 18 sats quickly after disabling the compass. I took out the compass on the leg and used that wire to connect the here compass like speatuk did in his post on the subject.

I'm sorry. I would've assumed they were handled like this at the factory. There is hardly any way to avoid articulation of the yoke. Installing the foam gimbal protector is harder on it than what I was doing.

I'm not certain, but you may have to power on the GoPro manually at startup and then the software will take over.
