Selling drones at half of what it costs to build them is hardly a sound business model. You don't pay off your debts that way nor do you remain solvent. All that as it may be, I'm just glad there's such a strong network out there that will keep the Solo alive for seemingly a long while.

Good article from Forbes on the subject. I disagree with the comment made by a former employee about the Solo being a "lemon product", though. I don't think it's anything of the sort. I've been fortunate to pick up a couple of good deals (a new Solo body only, some individual bits, and a bundle that included a PeauPro 82d) on eBay prior to jumping on the Best Buy site. I think my little squadron is now complete. Got my props (stock and APC) balanced last night, now to work on...

Just bought the same kit (BB-111A) for $300 from Best Buy. Third Solo. My wife is going to kill me. Haha.
