    Prop Guards

I bought the PolarPro over a year ago when they first came out. I have yet to install for 2 reasons. One, they will add weight to the Solo. I am looking for the longest flight times I can get. 2nd, I have not had to fly Solo close to any obstacles. The only place I could see a use would be...

What non-gopro cameras are people using on solo?

Sorry, one of these days I will get the website back going. Has not been a priority, unfortunately. Main business is 3D modeling for gps machine control and custom modeling for engineering.

What non-gopro cameras are people using on solo?

I agree that camera angle can be detrimental when you are using the bare minimum overlaps, but that is why I exceed the recommended. The gimbal is also nice to reduce blurry pics. My setup will produce a lot better quality and accurate 3D models than the GoPro mounted on a gimbal. The Solo will...

What non-gopro cameras are people using on solo?

I use a Panasonic DMC-GM1. It is a 16mp, micro 4/3 camera with interchangeable lenses. Currently running the 14mm pancake lens, but the kit 12-32mm works great with legs extensions. The 14mm is a touch lighter. I am not sure what the fascination with automatic camera triggering is. Majority of...

    New Tower v. 4.0.0-Final Release

I wonder if this fixes the automatic loiter when signal is lost and then regained during a mission? Or is that a problem with the Solo firmware?

Can the firmware be downgrade until there is a fix?

    Solo efficient flight speed

Except for the arguing, great thread! Thank you Steve I wonder if the "sweet spot" changes because of load, wind, altitude, maybe temperature? Probable overthinking it, just want to push the distance as far as I can.

    Solo efficient flight speed

Has anyone tested the Solo for it's most efficient flight speed during a mission? (travels the most distance on a battery) I would say wind should not be considered, but it seems that I get better performance in wind at about 7-8 m/s. Over 10 m/s drains the battery pretty fast and 5 m/s or...

    Tower--problems with newest Solo firmware?

Thanks Steve for the update. I am getting the same results in Mission Planner and Tower.

    Tower--problems with newest Solo firmware?

I am having the exact same problem. When radio is reconnected, the solo goes into loiter automatically. I have to change the mode to auto in Tower to continue the mission. Has any found a fix yet?

Any alternatives to get an ssh connection?

The Pixhawk has a usb connection on the side. I have a short cable plugged in all the time and routed it out the accessory door. No battery needed on the Solo, this cable will power up the Pixhawk and you can navigate like it is a memory stick.

Why do spinning propeller photos look so bizarre...

Rolling shutter From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A photo of a Eurocopter EC-120. Notice that the rotor blades seem to be swept back more than usual due to the rolling shutter effect. Rolling shutter is a method of image capture in which a still picture (in a still camera) or each frame of...
