Might be an easy fix, might not. $100 for a possibly "for parts" machine seems a bit high to me. Just my opinion.

I do use those 2 for flying. Backyard flying. Mainly to practice manual flying without risking my gimbal/GoPro. But in the end I got them to ensure a source of replacement parts for my main bird. And those 2 Solos are the result of cobbling together 3 E-Bay non functioning Solos.

I have 3 Solos. 1 somewhat modified (GPS, motors, WiFi) with Gimbal and GoPro 4. The other 2 are stock for backyard flying, but are basically "Organ Doners".

After a few Emails with Fat Shark, they say for their Panel to work with an HDMI feed, the source (controller) has to be set to 720P. Not sure that is the case with the Solo, but I am guessing it is not, or even possible. Plan B is a setup as this guy describes.

Cable is in the port as far as is possible. Got a new cable due to arrive tomorrow, if no luck with this one, it's Plan B. Getting a Slimport is plan C.

GoPro 4 Black. Plugged the MHDMI cable into the controller and the Fat Shark Transformer but get no image. Viewer is set to HDMI Full. Have check cables, and both input and output from other sources.

Can someone tell me how to set up a FPV to the Solo Controller. I have the Viewer, cables and all that is needed, but cannot get the Viewer to display the camera feed through the HDMI port on the controller. When hooked up to a monitor, only get the "3DR" logo.

Just got this for my Solo. Specifically, what cable do I need to connect it with my Solo Controller, and where can I get it? The model is FSV1102 Transformer Full Panel Viewer. I have got the Micro HDMI to Mini HDMI cable, get no picture.

OK, thank you. Seems I should have gone with the 800kv motors. Perhaps for the next upgrade.

A few posts back, RichWest said that the 800kv motors had a slightly better performance that the 900kv motors. Better performance how? Longer battery life? More responsive drone?
