Good thread. As summer winds to an end, I've been thinking about taking Solo snowboarding. It sounds like the answer is no. :-/

According to 3DR support, the "cause of the crash was due to a misreadings in the GPS system." After some back and forth, they're sending me replacements for the propellers that were damaged.

It must have been the auto-shutoff - I did not use A+B+Pause. Although, I did issue a "land" command (held in home button) at about the 35 second mark; so, that might have triggered the stop when Solo stopped moving?

This jives with my theory as well. But, I lost control basically right after takeoff. Maybe the firmware upgrade lowered the restraint around how strong the GPS signal has to be? I think waiting for a strong GPS signal is the loudest complaint I've heard. Good tip on the manual control remote...

I did. I actually fired off a ticket right after it happened. They are "receiving a high volume of inquiries", but followed up to ask if there was any damage and to get the serial number. No word on the cause, yet.

Is anyone having flight issues with the new firmware update? I upgraded the application, Solo, and my GoPro to prepare for the Gimbal. Backpack picked up from local Best Buy. Fits a lot of stuff, and is comfy to wear! :-) I agree that a diagram of where stuff is supposed to go would be helpful. After staring at it for a bit, you can more or less figure it out.
