replacing Solo with Intel Aero development drone?

Geotagging is built into the new MapIR cameras which I will be transitioning to. While a pain, I geotag during post-processing with present Survey2 cameras. Fly with 2 cameras that are synced/fired from PWM signal. Fixed wing are great for fields, but have issues when down in the canopy...

replacing Solo with Intel Aero development drone?

You are correct, uses its closed-source board with PX4 which is open-source. It can be changed to Ardupilot: Intel Aero RTF — Copter documentation

Yup, use it to power it up for now as I sort my wonderful torn-down Solo that attempts to imitate a brick.

You could also use solo-cli or Mission Planner. I use both in Linux.

Connecting directly to Pixhawk via USB cable?

Anyone have the correct parameters to open a communications channel to Pixhawk2 on Solo via its usb port? Looking for CLI in Linux, not MP. MP is not connecting either. $ screen /dev/ttyAMC0 57600,cs8 gives a bunch of weird symbols which usually means I have the wrong speed or parity. Tried...

Solo emits loud warning sound after flop on side

Only have attempted a factory reset using the button on the piggy-back board. What is the "SSWT" button for? Don't see any other buttons inside the drone

Solo emits loud warning sound after flop on side

Flashed new 8Gb sd card with Solo image. Booted up, green led, then both green with slow flashing orange, no screaming warning as long as powered Pixhawk up first with usb. Otherwise led starts green, then orange slow flash starts after 30+ seconds, then starts warning scream GPS shows...

Solo emits loud warning sound after flop on side

A flop on its side after Tower put one side into a full power. Had it happen before with Tower, why I usually always manually takeoff before activating auto mission to perform forest surveys. Seemed totally benign, but something got out of kilter. Flashing new image: because through process...

Solo emits loud warning sound after flop on side

OK, what would my parameters be then? Don't see how it would access the USB on my laptop. When plug the cable in get two new choices: /dev/ttyACM0 /dev/serial/by-id/usb-3D_Robitics I actually prefer CLI for any other this kind of diagnostics or config

TCP? That's for when using wifi, though I usually use UCP. I only have access to the Pixhawk via a usb cable directly plugged into its port $ sudo dnf install mono-devel $ mono MissionPlanner.exe
