That battery envelope cad file from 3dr has a huge bubble in it on the top/front of the battery. It's not a 1:1 replacement.

Glonass/Galileo/Baidu/GPS are all fairly close as far as the frequencies they use so it should be about the same. Many people have been flying the M8N in various flavors using the v2 shield without issues.

It's only 5° wider than the 3.97. Hope that 5° doesn't reintroduce the legs in shots. But for 5° more, doesn't seem worth it if you already have the 3.97. You probably won't really notice it.
